2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime Interior Colors (Detailed Photos)

The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime comes with 3 main interior offerings. Toyota offers different interior materials and colors between their two trim levels, the SE and XSE. In this post you’ll find a detailed breakdown of each material and color offering and which model they come on.

Here are the interior colors and materials available on the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime.

Black Fabric

The black fabric interior is the only option available on the Prime SE.

The contrast of the black complements the RAV4’s interior quite nicely. Additionally, the black interior is quite easy to keep clean. Black hides dirt and stains and is very easy to spot treat when needed.

Black Mixed Media

Black Mixed Media is an interior color that is rare to come by on the RAV4.

This interior features black color all around, however, the seats are mixed with a combination of fabric and SofTex. This is all tied together with red stitching that makes this a truly unique interior. I personally think this gives the interior a very sporty feel to it.

What is SofTex? It’s a unique material to Toyota.

SofTex® is a synthetic leather seat material designed for wear, easy cleaning and resisting spills. Soft to the touch, SofTex weighs about half as much as genuine leather.

The way it’s made generates around 85% fewer CO emissions and 99% fewer Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) than conventional synthetic leather. It also does not include any animal-based material.

This interior color is only available on the Prime XSE (at no additional cost).

Black SofTex

This black interior combined with Toyota’s SofTex material is a nice choice for a very high-end feel. The red stitching adds a sporty but refined look and ties together the interior nicely. Additionally, the black SofTex is very easy to keep clean.

This interior color is only available on the Prime XSE – and you must also have the Weather Package and Premium Package. As of this writing, Toyota is quoting these two packages to add $2,145 to the total of the vehicle (inquire with your local dealer to find out what’s being included in both the weather and premium packages).

Frequently Asked Questions

The only color variations are on the “Black Mixed Media”, which has red stripes and the “SofTex” which has minor red pinstriping (new to 2024). The main differentiation Toyota went for on the Prime was in the premium material offerings. Many customers have complained about the lack of color options on the Prime.

In terms of durability, I believe the SofTex and Mixed Media offerings will last the longest. They are also have a higher-end feel to them than fabric. With that being said, the fabric offering is still very durable.

With that being said, the SofTex and Mixed Media are only offered on the XSE trim.

It primarily comes down to premium feature offerings, such as larger displays and a much better sound system. Please see our detailed post here for more.

The Toyota RAV4 Prime isn’t worth it if you are looking purely to save money. It costs more upfront than the other RAV4 models and won’t save you that much more on fuel. However, it’s a great plug-in hybrid model with much to offer, so I recommend doing more research before deciding.

Overall Thoughts

The interior offerings on the RAV4 Prime range from standard to premium materials. I personally wish they would have offered at least one lighter colored option, especially for those who live in hot climates, or are wanting more color pairing options.

With that being said, the premium interior options available on the XSE are rare when compared to other RAV4 offerings. At the end of the day, you really only have to decide between Mixed Media and Softex if you decide to go with the XSE. If you are already set on the SE, then the choice is made for you.

I highly recommend you test both out in person and on test drives to see which you prefer.
