Blueprint

Blueprint is a dark blue metallic paint with undertones of silver that make it shine! It’s available in several trims, but we think it looks best on the top-of-the-line Limited trim due to the excellent combination with the chrome accents. The dark shades of blue are perfect for the SUV’s rugged shape and muscular stance, while the silver accents give it quite an impressive appearance overall.

This color is as close to black as it gets. At night you may even mistake it for black in certain lighting. However, when the sun shines on it the metallic blue color radiates a deep ocean blue for all to see.

This is a great color for someone who wants something unique on their Rav4 but not necessarily flashy.

Cavalry Blue

A newer blue hue in Toyota’s lineup, Cavalry Blue is a rich and sophisticated color that will add style and personality to your vehicle. It is limited to a few specific trims and even among those it is quite rare. If this is a color you like you may have to search for it.

The color pops in both bright and dark light conditions, but it’s not overwhelming. The finish is a solid, non-metallic which pairs well with this hue. It’s one of the most unique colors in the 2024 RAV4 line up.

This color is great if you’re looking for something unique and colorful. It might not be available in future RAV4 years, so it could even boost resale value.

Ice Cap

Ice Cap is a cool-white color that looks great on the Toyota RAV4. This color presents itself as a bright white hue that makes it stand out from other cars on the road. The paint job is the little brother of the Wind Chill Pearl as it has less shine to it and is available on the lower trims.

This white is a classic that you can’t really go wrong with. It may not hide dirt as well as some other colors like Magnetic Gray Metallic, but frequent car washes will keep up the appearance. Or, if you are a more adventurous type a little mud can show off your style!

Army Green

Army Green is a new special color to the Rav4 in 2024!

It has been on other models in the past like the Tundra and 4Runner. It is an earthy dark green that is a strong color which emulates its “army” descriptor. This color looks especially great out in nature when backed by woods, mountains or snow.

This color has a solid, non-metallic finish as the base. It is also combined with either a black metallic roof or an Ice Edge roof on certain trims.

The availability of Army Green is limited to only the special edition trim levels. Combining the unique color with a special trim will make for a driving experience only a select few will get to enjoy!

This is one of Toyota’s premium colors with an added cost of $500.

Magnetic Gray Metallic

Magnetic Gray Metallic is a medium gray with a robust metallic tint. It’s a classic color that you’ll see on a lot of RAV4s. Toyota has done a great job perfecting the tone and depth of this paint.

The color is a good choice for those looking for an impressive appearance without going overboard. It’s less bold than other options but still gives off an attractive look. The metallic finish also gives it depth, making the color stand out even more.

If you are someone that is a little more reserved and less interested in keeping up meticulous care of the exterior of your cars then this color is a great choice as it hides dirt and scratches really well.

Midnight Black Metallic

The midnight black metallic paint color is an inky dark shade with a subtle reflective quality that gives it depth and dimension. It’s one of the darkest shades you can get on the Toyota RAV4, but it’s not just another dark color. It has an almost iridescent sheen that makes it stand out.

In the sunlight at times you may think its looks blue up close. It has a sparkle due to the Metallic paint finish that can really make it pop.

Ruby Flare Pearl

The Ruby Flare Pearl color consists of a red metallic basecoat with a clearcoat that looks like a pearl finish. The result is an eye-catching hue that looks great on all RAV4s.

This is one of Toyota’s premium colors with an added cost of $425. It is a beautiful, dark, maroon-red hue that is appealing but not overly bright. We think it is best suited on trims like the XLE Premium or Limited.

If you like red and are okay with the extra cost, this color will be a great choice for you.

Silver Sky Metallic

The Silver Sky Metallic shade is made of silver paint with a slight, light-blue tint and has a pearlescent finish. This gives it a unique look that isn’t too over the top but doesn’t feel boring. It’s perfect for someone who wants to add subtle flair to their vehicle.

This is a classic color that you’ll see on RAV4s everywhere. It’s essentially the middleman between Wind Chill Pearl and Magnetic Gray Metallic. This color looks particularly impressive when paired with a black roof and wheels on the XSE trim.

This color is great for someone seeking a classic, elegant appearance that doesn’t catch too much attention.

Supersonic Red

Supersonic Red is a Rav4 Prime exclusive color. It’s bright and powerful hue is a testament to the powertrain that it envelops. With Toyota’s second fastest 0-60 time (only bested by the GR Supra) this vehicle deserves a color that defines its sportiness. In person I would describe it as a shade darker than the average firetruck.

This premium color costs an additional $425, but it is absolutely worth it if you like red or want something that really stands out. The RAV4 Prime is one of Toyota’s most powerful cars and this exciting red surely embodies that!

Wind Chill Pearl

Wind Chill Pearl is Toyota’s elegant pearlescent white color. It shines beautifully in the sun and gleams brightly under streetlights. This color is limited to the higher end trim levels to enhance their prestige among other vehicles on the road.

Although it seems similar to Ice Cap, it is a premium color with much more depth. If you’re between the Wind Chill Pearl and Ice Cap, I highly recommend visiting a local dealership that has both in stock to see the difference side-by-side.

It also costs an additional $425 to add this color.

This color is great for those who like white, but want something that stands out more than a solid white like Ice Cap.

Discontinued Colors in 2024

Colors come and go each new model year and 2024 is no exception.

It’s sad to see it go, but the the popular Lunar Rock has been discontinued beginning in 2024 for the Toyota RAV4. For an already hard to find color, this can actually be a good thing for the rarity factor alone. However, it can be a bit disappointing if you were holding out for a brand new Toyota in Lunar Rock.

Lunar Rock was a Toyota fan-favorite. For 2024 it’s been replaced with Army Green, which will surely be a very popular color in its own right.

Comparing the RAV4’s Colors to Its Competitors

If you’re shopping for a RAV4, you may still be considering some similar vehicles as well. Let’s take a look at a few RAV4 competitors and the colors they are available with.

Subaru Forester

The 2024 Subaru Forester is available in eleven attractive colors. There are plenty of color options to choose from in this lineup.

(Subaru)

The Forester offers a great line up of color options. One specific advantage that it has over the RAV4 when it comes to colors are the various Green and Blue hues that are available.

Colors like the Brilliant Bronze Metallic and Geyser Blue are unique to the Subaru Forrester.

Otherwise, there are lots of similarities between the RAV4 and Forester when it comes to the basic colors like Magnetite Gray Metallic, Ice Silver Metallic, and Crimson Red Pearl. Even the names are very similar.

Mazda CX-5

Mazda offers nine luxurious color options for the CX-5. They don’t get too flashy with their deep, impressive hues.

• Polymetal Gray Metallic
• Rhodium White Metallic

Mazda has been leaning more towards the luxury segment in recent years, therefore the CX-5’s color selection is not very exciting and fun. You won’t find any special colors on the CX-5 like the RAV4’s Cavalry Blue, Supersonic Red, or Army Green.

Most of the colors offered on the CX-5 are comparable to ones offered on the RAV4, with the exception of Eternal Blue Mica and Zircon Sand Metallic.

Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson has an impressive, futuristic appearance that pairs well with these eight exterior colors.

Nearly all the colors offered on the Tuscon can be matched with similar colors on the RAV4. The only exception is Intense Blue, which looks like the RAV4’s Blueprint if it were brightened up much more.

The Tuscon does not offer any very special colors that would be comparable to Army Green, Cavalry Blue, or Supersonic Red. Don’t expect to stand out of the road with a Tuscon when it comes to colors.

Kia Sportage

Kia has engineered a unique lineup of colors for the Sportage. There are eleven colors to choose from, so you’ll be sure to find something your style.

The Sportage overlaps many similar colors with the RAV4, but they have some unique ones that are worth considering.

Jungle Green is not too similar to the RAV4’s Army Green, but it gives off a similar feel. The Sportage is also unique with their Wolf Gray and Sapphire Blue colors. They also offer two tone colors on the X-Pro trim levels similar to the XSE trim Rav4s.

Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V is a simple yet elegant design with a variety of exterior colors available.

Colors available:

• Canyon River Blue Metallic
• Crystal Black Pearl
• Lunar Silver Metallic
• Meteorite Gray Metallic
• Platinum White Pearl
• Radiant Red Metallic
• Still Night Pearl
• Urban Grey Pearl

There are many similarities between the CR-V’s color options and the RAV4. Honda only offers 8 colors across all of it’s trim levels which is quite limited.

It’s nice that the CR-V offers an extra blue color, Still Night Pearl, which is brighter than the RAV4’s Blueprint. However they still offer Canyon River Blue Metallic, which is very similar to Blueprint.

Other than the extra blue color, the colors are comparable to the RAV4. However the CR-V lacks exciting and unique colors.

Nissan Rogue

Nissan has done a great job designing color options for the Rogue. They offer unique colors that are also available in various two-tone formats.

The Rouge has some fun colors in their lineup, like Sunset Drift Chromeflair which is an eye-catching orange hue. It also offers Boulder Gray Pearl, which looks like the previous year RAV4’s Lunar Rock without a green tint.

The other colors offered on the Rouge are basic ones that are similar to those offered on the RAV4.
